Vital Statistics Supervisor


To serve as a fully functional supervisor in the customer service unit of the Vital Registration Office. Oversee and manage four temporary and 7 permanent employees. This unit is responsible for a number of diverse duties including opening, staffing and closing the front customer service office and providing face-to-face customer service. Answering the main phone for the Health Statistics Center. Entering orders into the electronic order systems and completing orders. Compiles and audits daily cash/check/card deposits. Prepare orders from the Vitalchek Network for priority handling. Is held responsible for the performance of the employees supervised. Completes annual performance appraisals. Approves annual and sick leave and also audits and approves timecards. Work is reviewed by superiors through results metered by the electronic order systems. Perform related work as required.

Qualifications

Training: High school diploma or the equivalent.
AND
Experience:  Four (4) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in clerical, administrative support, and/or records-processing work. At least one (1) of the four (4) years must be as a lead worker.
