This position functions as the recognized resource in compliance within the hospitals, specifically with the MDHHS's Workplace Injury Illness Prevention Program (WIIPP). Broadly defined, this complex task involves developing and monitoring procedures, guidelines, and policies that serve as the foundation of hospital programmatic adherence. This position shall appraise themselves of relevant statutes/policy/accreditation standards and interpret as needed to define measurable program data variables. Of specific attention is the standardized implementation and analysis of the MDHHS’s WIIPP. Data from these hospital programs require complex oversight and statistical analysis often undertaken without
technical direction to best identify the relationship between the variables.

Findings from the content areas above shall serve to provide expert advice to SHA (State Hospital Administration) and hospital leadership on aggregate trends/patterns/findings between the hospitals and inform updates to policy/procedures/programming.

Newly Hired Staff will complete orientation at the Southeast Michigan Psychiatric Hospital 18471 Haggerty Rd Northville, MI 48168. Upon completion of orientation, they may report to and work at the Walter Reuther Psychiatric Hospital 30901 Palmer Rd. Westland, MI 48186. All staff and operations will move to the Southeast Michigan Psychiatric Hospital in October.

Requirements

Education
Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major.

Experience
Three years of professional experience, including one year of experience equivalent to the experienced (P11) level in state service.

Qualifications

Departmental Analyst 12 
Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school and the equivalent of at least two years of full-time active-duty experience at or above the E-6 level in the uniformed services may be substituted for the education requirement.View the job description at: Departmental Analyst 9-12
