Security Aide


The Southern Nevada Health District (SNHD) announces an examination process to create an eligibility list to fill one (1) vacancy for the classification of Security Aide in the Facilities Department. The eligibility list may be utilized to fill vacancies for this classification for up to four (4) months.

Under general supervision, patrols and monitors activities within Health District properties and buildings on foot or by fleet vehicle to ensure facilities, staff, and visitors are secure and safe. Duties include assessing problem situations and exercising tact and judgment in bringing about their resolution.

Requirements

Education, Training, and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent AND one (1) year of full-time security experience that includes interaction and contact with the public.  
  • Experience in security for local or state government preferred.
  • Coursework or training in criminal justice is desirable.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:
  • Valid Nevada Class C driver license, or ability to obtain, within ninety (90) days of employment.
  • Valid C.P.R. and First Aid Certificate, or ability to obtain within ninety (90) days of employment.
  • AED Certificate (Automatic External Defibrillator), or ability to obtain within ninety (90) days of employment.
