Sanitarian 2

These positions work under general supervision performing full-performance level duties in the enforcement of environmental and public health sanitation laws. They conduct inspections, investigations, evaluations and educational programs in environmental and public health sanitation, as well as provide general services in environmental and public health sanitation programs. Public contact and considerable travel are required. Perform related work as required.

Qualifications

Training: Bachelor's degree from an accredited  college or university.
AND
Experience: One (1) year of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience as a sanitarian.

Special Requirements: Must be permitted as a sanitarian-in-training or certified as a sanitarian with the West Virginia State Board of Sanitarians or be eligible to be permitted or certified with the Board per the Reciprocity section of the Practice of Public Health Sanitation, W. Va. Code R. §20-4-4 et seq. Must possess a valid driver's license. Availability of an automobile for continuous use may be a requisite for employment.
