This is a full-time, in-office position.   

This position requires you to work on site at one of our facilities located throughout Broward County

This is an OPS (Other Personal Services) positions and as such no paid time off is offered. Health benefits will be offered for full-time employment.  OPS employees are eligible to participate in a deferred compensation plan.

 DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Program Coordinator manages surveillance activities related to drug product and paraphernalia testing (Component B) and linkage to and retention in care (Component C). This position processes analytic files, maintains REDCap import workflows, validates datasets, generates required CDC deliverables, and develops data products for dissemination.

Create and revise data collection instruments for Component B and Component C. Perform routine data cleaning and validation for Component B and Component C datasets. Merge sample logs with laboratory results and maintain the Component B master file. Enter Component B data using REDCap import tools; revise entries as updated results are received.

Process monthly tracking data related to identification, engagement, referral, and treatment initiation for Component C. Generate indicator counts and metadata for CDC semiannual submissions. Prepare monthly activity reports for Component B and C. Produce publicly disseminated data products for Components B and C. Develop and deliver presentations to internal and external stakeholders. 

Knowledge, skills, and abilities: 

• Ability to analyze laboratory, surveillance, and partner-submitted data to identify trends, emerging drug threats, and gaps in care.
• Knowledge of drug product testing, paraphernalia analysis, and factors influencing local overdose patterns.
• Ability create or enhance systems that collect, track, and report linkage and retention in care indicators.
• Ability to produce comprehensive reports, fact sheets, and visualizations for public health officials, community partners, and federal agencies.
• Ability to present surveillance findings clearly to multidisciplinary audiences, including community coalitions and CDC workgroups.
• Ability to collaborate with epidemiologists, toxicologists, law enforcement, community organizations, and OD2A-L funded partners.
• Ability to manage timelines, partner meetings, reporting requirements, and multi-component grant activities with minimal supervision.
• Ability to ensure accuracy, quality, and regulatory compliance in data collection, analysis, and reporting processes. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Master's degree in public health, epidemiology, biostatistics, statistics, data science/analytics, health sciences, or a closely related field.
2. Experience performing data analysis using R, Python, SAS, SQL, Tableau, or Power BI.
3. Experience managing datasets, including data cleaning and data validation.
4. Experience developing dashboards or visual data displays.
5. Experience presenting data findings to internal or external audiences.
6. Experience preparing written analytic reports, summaries, or briefs.
7. Experience creating or revising data collection instruments.
8. Experience coordinating activities with community partners, healthcare providers, laboratories, or other stakeholders.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

1. Experience using REDCap for data entry or data management.
2. Experience working with laboratory, toxicology, surveillance, or healthcare datasets.
3. Experience preparing CDC, federal, or grant-required reports and deliverables.
4. Experience supporting linkage to care, treatment engagement, retention in care, or related public health initiatives.
5. Experience monitoring program performance measures, indicators, or reporting requirements
