The New Mexico Department of Health is a centralized state agency that ensures safety net services to all New Mexicans through the many programs and services.  In order to ensure health equity, we work with our partners to promote health and well-being and improve health outcomes for all people in New Mexico. The Administrative Services Division provides support services for all divisions of DOH by providing services for daily internal operations, printing internal marketing materials, shipping receiving and mail services, and other services as needed. As an employee of the Administrative Services Division, you will play an important role in maintaining a smooth and productive working environment.

Why does the job exist?

 
This position is part of the Support Services Section, which is comprised of three major functional areas; these areas consist of Reproduction/Graphic design, Mail Services, and our Central Supply Warehouse. These areas not only provide marketing and supply services to the Department of Health but also support the Department of the Environment in the Runnels building, and other DOH offices around the state.

How does it get done?

 
This position is responsible for the Reproduction/Graphic design area for the ASD Print Shop, responding to print requests from around the state, processing all orders in a timely fashion with an emphasis on customer service. The key responsibilities of this position are responding to print requests in person or through email demonstrating excellent customer service skills and professional communication skills, accurately completing the order form for billing purposes.
The incumbent will also print employee identification cards on request.

Who are the customers?

 
The customers for this area are not only the Department of Health employees but we also support the Department of the Environment in the Runnels building, and other DOH offices around the state.

Ideal Candidate

 
The ideal candidate will have experience in with general administrative functions and providing great customer service.

Minimum Qualification

 
No prior experience or training required.

Employment Requirements

 
Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License.

Working Conditions

 
Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage. Some sitting, standing, bending, and reaching may be required. Direct client interaction and some travel may be required.
