The mission of Pinecrest Supports and Services Center is to support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to reach treatment goals and to return to more integrated community living settings.  Pinecrest Supports and Services Center specializes in the treatment of people with comorbid intellectual and developmental disabilities and complex medical, behavioral and psychiatric support needs.

We are seeking a dedicated, hardworking individual as a Mobile Equipment Operator 1 (Detail) to assist in the daily operation of the duties of the Property Control Department on the Pinecrest Supports and Services grounds.

Job Duties:

  • Fulfills submitted Property Control Action Requests (FPS-022) orders as assigned by the Property Control Manager or Property Control Manager Designee.
  • Main function includes driving one of the Property Control box trucks or equipment van to pick up assets (state owned & personal) from designated location and relocating them as indicated in request, both on grounds and off grounds, such as assisting with moving an individual from one home to another, loading PSSC assets on a box truck and driving box truck filled with PSSC SURPLUS to LPAA in Baton Rouge, and driving Property Control forklift to unload deliveries made to Pinecrest Property Control locations.
  • Move / re-arrange assets to make them more visible/accessible in assisting with Property Control inventory.
  • Drive Property Control vehicles to places that hold assets that need to be evaluated and possibly relocating them.
  • Maintain vehicles and operable equipment assigned to the Print Shop/Warehouse domain by completing such duties as keeping vehicles fueled with no less than half a tank of fuel and requesting maintenance care/review when asset is not running properly.
  • Making sure that the back door to vehicles are always close/locked when in motion and that assets are loaded, to the best of ability, for transport in a manner that prevents damage to available resources.
  • Seeks assistance, when needed, to carry assets that weigh 75 pounds or more when no mechanical means available.
  • Assists the Administrative Coordinator 3 with some shop duties such as operating the commercial printer to meet routine and special orders, delivers processed items, and participates in cleaning / organizing / sanitizing of Print Shop areas.
  • Performs other duties as needed / assigned to fulfill Property Control responsibility in meeting the needs of the facility.

This position may be filled by probation, promotion, demotion, lateral transfer, detail to special duty, or job appointment. Preference may be given to employees of Pinecrest Supports and Services Center.
Compensation:
MOBILE EQUIPMENT OPERATOR 1 (Detail): $16.06 hr. - $28.90 hr.
