Operating under the jurisdiction of the New Mexico Department of Health and located on the campus of the New Mexico Behavioral Health Institute, Meadows is a 162 dually certified Nursing Home offering long term and short term stays. We offer Occupational, Physical and Speech Therapy.

This position works closely with Meadows Administration to ensure positive outcomes for the residents of Meadows, grow our census and, maintain regulatory compliance.

How does it get done?

 
Clinical oversight, Direct patient care, Quality and safety, staff supervision, policy development, facilitate collaboration between the various disciplines and, be a part of the Quality Assurance Performance Improvement committee.

Ideal Candidate

 
Ideal Candidate would have:

Medical license to practice as a physician in the state of New Mexico. 
Familiarity with Nursing home regulations, Medicare/Medicaid and the ability to embrace both palliative care and hospice.

Minimum Qualification

 
Requires a license to practice medicine in New Mexico and Psychiatrist, OB/GYN, Internal Medicine, Family Practice, General Surgery, or Emergency Medicine Board Certification. Must possess an active controlled substance license and DEA registration in New Mexico.

Must possess a valid Drivers License

Must obtain a Defensive Driving Certificate

1.SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITIONS--This position ls designated as safely sensitive. Employment Is subject to pre-employment and random testing. In accordance with all terms and conditions of federal and state law, rules, and regulations in relation to alcohol and/or drug testing. Employment ls subject to nationwide criminal background checks and is conditional pending results.
2.CRIMINAL RECORDS BACKGROUND CHECK-Must successfully complete post offer pre-employment criminal records background check. Employment is conditional pending the results of criminal records background checks. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license. Successful completion of the Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act (HIPAA).

Working Conditions

 
Position will preform work primarily in an office setting with extensive computer and phone usage exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT). Work hours are 8am to 5pm.
