Responsibilities include identifying and resolving operational issues, evaluating shipment discrepancies, maintaining chain-of-custody documentation, ensuring specimen integrity, coordinating transportation activities, and implementing corrective actions within established procedures to support continuity of operations across multiple facilities.

Working as a Logistics Operations Specialist, you will:

  • Coordinate integrated mail, courier, and logistics distribution operations so that agency communications, accountable deliveries, laboratory shipments, and operational materials are processed accurately, securely, and within established timelines.
  • Coordinate receiving, dock, inventory, and delivery operations so that supplies, equipment, laboratory materials, and operational shipments are securely received, documented, tracked, and promptly delivered to the appropriate locations.
  • Provide laboratory, operational, and logistics support services so that continuity of operations is maintained across MDH facilities and operational service areas.
  • Provide limited meeting space and facility support services during operational surges, special events, staffing shortages, or other business continuity needs so that agency operations remain functional and operationally ready.
  • Provide backup reception and customer service support during staffing shortages, emergency coverage situations, or other operational needs so that essential front desk operations remain available.
