Requirements
Three years of experience in information technology; OR
Six years of full-time work experience in any field plus one year of experience in information technology; OR
An associate's degree in information technology plus one year of experience in information technology; OR
A bachelor’s degree plus one year of experience in information technology.
A bachelor’s degree with twenty-four semester hours in an information technology, computer science, engineering, mathematics, or business analytics field.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.
NOTE:
A certification in an approved area may be substituted for the education and/or experience requirements at the time of hire or promotion, provided the appointment is made from a Certificate of Eligibles.

Job Duties:
As an IT Technical Support Analyst 1-3, the incumbent will:
- Coordinate and consult with SCLHSA, Louisiana Department of Health, Information Technology Staff, OTS Support Team, and computer contractor for the design, development, installation, and testing of in-house software packages.
- Provide technical support for Microsoft Operating Systems, Microsoft Office Products, Outlook, monitor/install Anti-virus software and develop strategies and recommendations for standards and procedures for use.
- Troubleshoot deskside computers, plus replace broken parts as needed.
- Serves as lead worker over IT staff, trains employees and contractors on new and existing software.
Position-Specific Details:
Location: This position is located at SCLHSA's River Parishes Behavioral Health Clinic, located in Laplace, LA. OR SCLHSA’s Administration Office located in Houma, LA. Position may include travel to other SCLHSA locations.
Appointment Type: This vacancy is being announced as a Classified Position and will be filled as a Probationary Appointment.
Compensation: The actual starting salary depends on the education and experience of the selected applicant.
Career Progression Group (CPG): This position participates in a CPG and may be filled as an IT Tech Support Analyst 1, 2, or 3 level, at which the vacancy is filled be determined by the qualifications of the candidate selected. This position provides the opportunity to advance within this job series.
