Intern III (Graduate Intern)

• Enrolled in a graduate program or have graduated from an accredited graduate program within the last 6 months with a major in one of the following fields: public health, social work, public administration, or related field. 
• Completed introductory classes that cover public health, substance use prevention, youth development, or similar fields 
• Experience working with diverse communities. 
• Demonstrated knowledge of equity and social justice principles and practices and ability to apply this knowledge to all areas of the work, including methods, analysis, results interpretation, and dissemination. 
• Detail oriented work ethic with the ability to work quickly and accurately under deadlines, work on a number of tasks simultaneously, and organize and prioritize work in response to changing needs. 
• Excellent oral and written communication skills. 
• Demonstrated ability to work as part of a diverse team with internal and external collaboration partners. 
• Basic qualitative analysis skills – familiar with analysis methods and process, interpretation of qualitative data including selecting appropriate methods and visualization formats. 
• Ability to prepare and share results with project team to facilitate learning and continuous quality improvement. This may include presentations, reports, and data visualizations.

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience collaborating with diverse community-based organizations and Public Health Program Staff. 
• Experience conducting community engagement, particularly with youth and young adults. 
• Experience with applying analysis methods and process, interpretation of qualitative data including selecting appropriate methods and visualization formats.
• Experience collaborating with a team of colleagues to plan a project, distribute tasks, and complete the final products.
