Purpose of the PositionIn a team environment and under general supervision assures that WIC demographic data is collected meeting the standards set by GA WIC policy and procedure and CDPH Customer Services. Issues vouchers to WIC participants per GA WIC policy and procedure. Provides other administrative WIC services within the standards set by GAWIC policies and procedures to assure prompt services are provided to all WIC clients. Self-monitors and assures that all GA professional and ethical standards for a state employee are maintained. “This position works to promote and protect the health and safety of the residents of Cobb and Douglas Counties.”

Essential Functions (include, but are not limited to):
·Assures that confidentiality standards are met to the best extent possible in the immediate clinical environment.
·Assures applicant understanding of the WIC program to include but not be limited to: Dual Participation, use of the WIC ID folder, and the Rights and Responsibilities.
·Completes the demographic data collection for CDPH and WIC appointments.
·Appropriately interviews clients related to income verification.
·Makes /scans copies of all proofs at a level acceptable per the WIC Procedures Manual

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma/GED and two (2) years of experience communicating information in a customer service setting; or one (1) year of experience required at the lower-level Customer Svc Rep 1 (GST120) or position equivalent.
                       
Preferred QualificationsSpanish/English Bilingual or American Sign Language/English Bilingual.
 
Work Conditions & Physical Demands: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
 
Salary Information:  $20.60/Hr. | Up to 29 hrs./ week |No Benefits

Remote Work: –Employees authorized for remote/hybrid work must reside and perform their job duties exclusively within the state of Georgia. Remote/hybrid work arrangements outside the state are not permitted under current policy.
