Help Me Grow Coordinator - (Project/Program Manager II)
Children and families thrive when they can access the resources they need—when, where, and how they need them. Help Me Grow King County (HMGKC) connects families with children from prenatal development to age five, especially those facing systemic barriers, to community-rooted and linguistically responsive support. HMGKC operates as a Coordinated Access Network made up of local community-based organizations (Family Connection Partners) who provide warm connections and direct support, not just referrals, and walk alongside families as they navigate systems and services. The Help Me Grow Contract & Project Manager will focus on strengthening systems that connect families to resources and services through the Help Me Grow (HMG) network. The position manages contracts, oversees the processes of payments and analysis, and drives program success while ensuring equity-driven contracting practices. They monitor performance, provide culturally responsive technical assistance to community partners, and collaborate with program managers to create data visualizations, evaluate outcomes, and coordinate capacity-building activities. The position will ensure infrastructure and partner communication is up to date including lists of available services and ensuring website communication is accurate. The position directly contributes to the success of programs that empower children, families, and caregivers across King County. Help Me Grow (HMG) is a strategy that is part of the Prenatal-5 Team within Best Starts for Kids and is within Seattle King County Public Health. The HMG team works closely with other strategies supporting supports for families prenatal to 5.
Note: This posting will create a list of qualified candidates that may be considered for selection of additional vacancies of the same position type over the next 6 months.
Commitment To Equity and Social Justice
Named after Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., one of the most influential civil rights leaders in our nation's history, King County is a vibrant international community with residents that represent countries from around the world. It is a region with increasing diversity that cherishes the traditions of many cultures.
The county government has a deep commitment to equity and social justice and advancing practices, strategies, and policies that promote fairness, justice, and opportunity for all – in our workplaces and our communities. With this commitment, King County has adopted a pro-equity agenda to advance regional change and ensure that residents from all communities are incorporated into our emergency planning and public outreach efforts.
We recognize that structural racism consists of principles and practices that cause and justify an inequitable distribution of rights, opportunities, and experiences across racial groups. Since declaring Racism is a Public Health Crisis in June 2020, King County and Public Health committed to being intentionally anti-racist and accountable to Black, Indigenous and People of Color communities.
