Health and Human Resources Associate

This position processes medical cannabis patient applications and provides real-time customer service and technical assistance to patients, applicants, and physicians via telephone and email. Knowledge of the Medical Cannabis Act, as well as the associated regulations and policies, are a must. The position will review, approve, and, if necessary, reject for corrections, applications based on the regulatory requirements. Will answer a multi-line phone system and communicate with various constituents, including patients, physicians, and staff. The position will enter emailed/mailed/or verbal data for patients that do not have access to technology to enter the application themselves. Organizing and processing payments received via mail and keeping detailed payment records are a core duty of this position. Will also perform administrative and programmatic duties deemed necessary to support the program.

Qualifications

Training: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university.
Substitution: Full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in paraprofessional or responsible clerical work at a level consistent with the work performed by an Office Assistant III and which required application of state and federal laws and/or guidelines, may be substituted for the required training on a year-for-year basis.
