Main Purpose of Job

Reporting to the Director of Behavioral Health, this position will administratively supervise a Community Health Nurse Supervisor and a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. Additionally, this role will provide administrative & technical supervision to mental health and substance abuse clinical staff. Key responsibilities include: - Guiding lower-level supervisors on clinical decisions, reviewing staff clinical work, and ensuring the completion of treatment plans, prior authorizations, progress notes & training. -Overseeing the financial management of assigned programs, conducting scheduled supervision with assigned staff, directing and evaluating daily program operations, developing policies and procedures, adhering to Joint Commission and COMAR regulations and meeting community needs. -Strategic planning, project management, operations compliance, and serving as a liaison with community partners. This position may include occasional evening hours and requires the ability to work and travel to all Worcester County Health Department sites. This position is considered Emergency Essential for protecting and preserving public health and public safety. This will result in special deployment during emergencies and/or crises.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Qualified candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and six years of health or human services administrative or professional experience, including three years at a supervisory or managerial level. A Master's degree from an accredited college or university will substitute for one year of the general experience and a Doctorate will substitute for two years of the general experience. Additional experience will substitute on a year-for-year basis for the college degree.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Desired candidates should possess the following: Understanding of COMAR Regulations Previous experience running a fee for service program Possession of a LCSW-C or LCPC license
