The mission of the Louisiana Department of Health is to protect and promote health and to ensure access to medical, preventive, and rehabilitative services for all residents of the State of Louisiana.

Requirements

Three years of experience in administrative services.

EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will substitute for six months of the required experience.

  • Ensure office administrative duties including but not limited to payroll, purchasing, inventory, safety, travel and other assigned reports and job duties are completed accurately and timely.
  • Provide quality service in a professional manner both internally and externally with dignity, compassion, and respect.
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times. Report up the chain of command any problems or potential problems related to the staff and/or office.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of computer programs such as Word, Excel, internet /web based navigation systems, and complex automated systems.
  • Uses initiative to explore and develop all available resources to meet customers' needs.
