This position is hybrid (In office and Remote).

Qualifications

Education and Experience: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree AND experience equivalent to four years of full-time increasingly responsible professional staff administrative work.

Substitution of Experience for Education: Qualifying full-time increasingly responsible sub professional, paraprofessional, or professional experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis, to a maximum of four years.

Substitution of Education for Experience: Additional graduate coursework in public administration, business administration, or other acceptable field may be substituted for the required experience, on a year-for-year basis, to a maximum of two years.

OR

Three years of increasingly responsible professional administrative services experience with the State of Tennessee.

Overview

  1. This position will ensure all contract deadlines are met including but not limited to the support of CEDEP staff in this process.
  2. Adjust contract budgets through budget adjustments and amendments.
  3. General project management ensuring that due dates are achieved.
  4. Provide general administration for the Emergency Preparedness Program.

Responsibilities

  1. Assist in the development of the Emergency Preparedness Program contracts and use the departmental systems to monitor, evaluate, recommend actions, and develop improvements to procedures to achieve program goals.
  2. In collaboration with lead program staff, use creative and critical writing skills to develop contract specific scope of services which is a key component to contract development.
  3. Monitor and provide recommendations to improve program, organizational, information technology systems, and operational processes.
  4. Ensure contract compliance verification is achieved and milestones are met.
  5. Assist in projects to support management in achieving program objectives.
  6. This position will be responsible for reporting for duty as soon as possible during emergencies as part of coordinated responses by Tennessee Department of Health.

TN Driver Standards

State of Tennessee positions that may involve driving responsibilities require candidates to meet the following minimum driver qualifications:

  2. For the past five years, the candidate's driver record must not have record of the following violations: driving under the influence (DUI), reckless driving, license suspension for moving violations, more than 4 moving violations.
