An ideal candidate should possess the following competencies:

  • Making Accurate Judgments:  The ability to assess options, weigh risks, and make sound decisions using available information and logical reasoning.

Requirements

Four years of experience in administrative services.

EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience.

  • Provide administrative support to the communications director and bureau

  • Serves as clerical assistant to the communications director on things such as keeping appointment schedules, preparing travel when applicable, issuing directives to others on their behalf and relieving the manager of administrative matters

  • Assists with typing, formatting and compiling correspondence for meetings, speeches, presentations, policies, etc.

  • Processes routine paperwork and/or enters data and information into BMAC’s shared drive

  • Receives, stores and distributes supplies; maintains inventory of such

  • Maintains BMAC’s record system, including filing and retrieving documents, researching files, etc.

  • Prepares purchase orders and requisitions for the purchase of supplies when applicable

  • Manages subscriptions for BMAC and processes and completes paperwork for expiring or new subscriptions

  • May deliver and pick-up various materials

  • 15% provide administrative support to execute special projects and initiatives as assigned

  • 15% Provide receptionist and telephone answering duties
