NORTHEAST DELTA HUMAN SERVICES AUTHORITY MISSION:
Serve as a catalyst for individuals with mental health, developmental disabilities, and addictive disorders to help them realize their full human potential by offering quality, excellent care with greater accessibility.

Northeast Delta Human Services Authority (NEDHSA) is seeking a qualified individual to serve as an Administrative Assistant 3 within the Prevention and Wellness Team. This position will provide administrative support to the Program Manager 1-B and the Executive Director at the Northeast Delta Human Services Authority branch office. The Administrative Assistant 3 will work under the general direction of the Program Manager 1-B and receive functional supervision from the Executive Director. The incumbent will perform a variety of administrative, organizational, and clerical functions in support of the operations and activities of the Prevention and Wellness Team and the agency.

Requirements

Two years of experience in administrative services.

EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience.

  • Answers and routes incoming calls; takes messages; deals tactfully with parties in emergency or delicate situations. Greets visitors and maintains a warm and friendly disposition while at work. Independently composes and types correspondence for signature of supervisor regarding administrative matters, office policies, or programs.
  • Compiles and types special reports by selecting relevant information from a variety of sources such as reports, documents, correspondence, electronic files, etc. For research and presentations. Organizes and maintains files and reference manuals/materials; ensures confidentiality of information, as necessary. For studies on ACEs and Trauma-Informed Care.
  • Prepares materials needed for meetings, such as agendas, handouts, binders, etc. Performs administrative functions such as payroll preparation, travel reports, supply requisitions, etc. May serve as the back-up administrative assistant to the Administrative Assistant 5 in Administration.
  • Sets up and types a wide variety of correspondence, reports, tables, records, case histories, hearings, etc. from rough drafts, dictation, dictating machine, or instructions. Types materials that involve knowledge of special terminology.
  • Establishes and maintains electronic files for identifying, recording and classifying stored data; extracts, assembles and merges stored information to create new documents.
  • Assists in all functions of the Administrative Assistant 5 in her absence and assists with Administrative Duties needed for the Executive Director and any other clerical duties for the ED. Performs other related duties as required.

Compensation: NEDHSA is a designated approved National Health Service Corps (NHSC) site. Clinicians who work at NHSC-approved sites are eligible to apply to the NHSC Loan Repayment Program to pay off student loans.

  • 2-year Full-Time Clinical Practice: NHSC will pay up to $50,000* for an initial 2 years of full-time clinical practice to clinicians.
(Full-time clinical practice is defined as no less than 40 hours per week, for a minimum of 45 weeks per year.)
