This position will oversee the District 1-1 Central Counties of Bartow, Floyd and Gordon, and will be based out of the Bartow County Health Department. This position is an unclassified, full-time position working 40 hours per week.  Please complete your online application with current and previous employment details and duties.

Requirements

Supervises, guides, and/or instructs the work assignments of subordinate staff. Manages and coordinates nutrition and dietetic services for a region or multiple facilities. Provides technical expertise in nutrition and dietetics to staff and community. Manages budget and performs quality reviews. 

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in dietetics, human nutrition, foods and nutrition, nutrition education, food systems management, or a closely related field from an accredited college or university, verification statement of completion of a didactic program accredited by The Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics and four (4) years of job-related experience providing nutrition care to groups and individuals; or Two (2) years of experience at the lower level Dietitian/Nutritionist 2 (HCP022) or equivalent position.

Preferred Qualifications:

Registered Dietitian 

Previous WIC employment experience 

Previous management experience

Bilingual Spanish/English Speaking

Experience in curriculum development and employee evaluation

Responsibilities

Manage WIC services as intermediate level of management

Supervise clinic staff

Act as liaison between clinic and district leadership

Perform internal audits

Monitor and evaluate WIC staff 

Coordinate WIC services 

Ensure compliance to state and local level policies

Develop training curriculum and modules for staff in-service

Travel among clinics for in-person observations 

Address critical issues and complaints

Track services for compliance 

Report to Nutrition Service Director


The DPH Commissioner and agency leaders encourage all employees to engage in regular wellness activities and to make lifestyle choices that promote health and well-being. 

The use of physical activity breaks during the workday is authorized to support this philosophy and help employees meet their wellness goals. A maximum of 30 minutes of physical activity may be allocated per workday, typically in the form of two 15-minute breaks or one 30-minute break.

Employment Information

 The District Human Resource Department must receive an official transcript and/or proof of licenses, certifications prior to employment.
