Requirements

The WIC Program Manager oversees and coordinates daily operations of the WIC clinic and the on-site Call Center, ensuring efficient workflows, consistent customer service, and full compliance with program requirements. This role manages a wide range of operational and programmatic activities, provides leadership and direction to staff and supervisors, supports employee development, and implements policies and procedures that promote effective and continuous service delivery across both departments.


Primary Duties & Responsibilities 


  • Oversee daily clinic operations and ensure program compliance.
  • Supervise clinic and Call Center staff, including scheduling, attendance, and performance.
  • Support staff training, development, and communication.
  • Maintain efficient workflows and high-quality customer service.
  • Coordinate with leadership to meet program goals and standards.
  • Performs additional professional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field, along with two (2) years of managerial/supervisory experience; OR six (6) years of related professional experience, including at least two (2) years in a managerial or supervisory role.Georgia Department of Public Health Commissioner and leaders encourages all employees to engage in regular physical activities and to make lifestyle choices that promote health and well-being. The use of physical breaks during the workday is authorized to support this philosophy and assist employees in meeting their physical goals.  A maximum of 30 minutes in a given workday may be used to engage in physical activities, generally in the form of two 15-minute breaks or one 30-minute break.

Current State employees are subject to State Personnel Board rules regarding salary.

DPH accepts educational credential recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and/or the US Department of Education (DOE) will be considered. DPH will contact educational institutions to verify degree, diploma, licensure, etc.

The candidate selected for this position may be subject to pre-employment drug screening and a criminal background check.
