Central Louisiana State Hospital, located in Pineville, Louisiana, is seeking applicants for a vacant position in our FISCAL DEPARTMENT as a Warehouse Technician 1-3 who performs operational support tasks in a warehouse environment.

The Warehouse Technician 1-3 plays a vital role for the Louisiana Department of Health in the Behavioral Health community by utilizing CLSH’s values and mission to deliver quality and effective care to our patients. The hospital is highly committed to cooperative work with other state agencies and with the state and regional mental health program to ensure the integration and coordination of hospital-community services into a comprehensive system of mental health care.

Job Duties:

  • Directs all aspects of the Central Louisiana State Hospital Warehouse. 
  • Establishes inventories, reorder levels, and ensures that all stock items are replenished in a timely manner to prevent lapses in supplies to all areas of the facility.
  • Monitors all requests for supplies to ensure that they are filled promptly and accurately.  
  • Responsible for managing all operations of the CLSH Warehouse, including receiving, delivering, inventory ordering, stocking, and accountability.  
  • Coordinates annual inventory counts of all supplies and inventory. Receives and issues items from the warehouse. This constitutes dry goods and housekeeping items. 
  • Verifies the accuracy of items received against the purchase order, signing of the receipt document, and forwarding the receipt for posting to La Gov. 
  • Fills all requisitions received from various departments on the grounds of the hospital. Delivers these items to the departments on a bi-monthly basis.   
  • Performs a complete physical inventory of all items in the warehouse at the end of the fiscal year.
  • Responsible for the movement of all equipment within a large psychiatric hospital. Moves equipment from one location to another while assuring that all property tag numbers, signatures, and location codes are correct and posted to work orders for posting to the inventory control program. 
  • Transports repaired property from various shops on hospital grounds. Transports equipment no longer needed by the hospital to Surplus Property in Baton Rouge. 
  • Operates forklifts in order to move stock in and out of the warehouse. Required to routinely manually lift up to 60 pounds. Operates pallet jacks, hand trucks, and utility vans in order to deliver household items, personal care items, and direct charge items to all areas of the facility daily.

Position-Specific Details:

Appointment Type: Probational, Promotion, or Demotion.  Must be a current Full-time Permanent employee of CLSH.  
  
Compensation: This position has a Minimum Hire Rate of $1,122.40 bi-weekly.  

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday
