Requirements

Possession of a current Louisiana license to practice as a Licensed Master's Social Worker (LMSW) or a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) plus:

A master's degree in social work followed by four years of social services experience.

Job Duties:

As a Social Worker 5B, you will function as a behavioral health supervisor over licensed professionals.  In this role, you will:

  • Provide recovery and resilience focused treatment and clinical/administrative supervision of subordinate licensed behavioral health staff within a service delivery program in the facility specifically for the delivery of services to Adult Mental health and Addictive Disorders Units.
  • Perform in accordance with the laws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures of all applicable licensing and governmental agencies and within the guidelines set by the District.
  • Possess and maintain the necessary licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker by the Louisiana State Board of Social Work Examiners.

Appointment Type: Probational or Promotional

Work Schedule: 8 hours a day; Monday - Friday

Location: This position is located in the Acadiana Area Human Services District – Tyler Behavioral Health Clinic


This AAHSD SITE is NHSC (National Health Service Corps) APPROVED.  QUALIFYING SOCIAL WORKERS MAY BE ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE LOAN REPAYMENT PROGRAM.
