Requirements

Possession of a current Louisiana license to practice as a Licensed Master's Social Worker (LMSW) or a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) plus:

A master's degree in social work followed by four years of social services experience.

  • Direct line supervision of subordinate social worker staff by providing clinical supervision through the form of case review, assistance, guidance, consultation and quarterly chart audits to assess 
  • Reviews psychosocial assessment, treatment plan, progress and discharge notes and follow up notes, etc.  
  • Reviews and signs off on all subordinate LMSWs’ psychosocial assessments, treatment plans, and denied admissions.  
  • Provides direct treatment services to clients including individual, group, and family counseling.  
  • Complete psychosocial assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and other paperwork necessary for client treatment.  
  • Participates in team staffing for clients with complex problems.
  • Interviews clients who need to be seen on an emergency basis, determines their need for services, refers for further emergency evaluation as indicated, and makes arrangements for psychiatric hospitalizations.  
  • Screen calls for admission, determine if clients meet admission criteria, and/or refers to other community agencies.  

Position-Specific Details:

Appointment Type: Probational.
Work Schedule: 9 hours per day Monday - Thursday, 4 hours on Friday.
Location: Capital Area Human Services District's Baton Rouge Behavioral Health Clinic (BRBH).
Compensation: The actual starting salary depends on the education and experience of the selected applicant.
**Note regarding the advertised pay range: The advertised maximum amount listed is the maximum salary a person can make while in this title/level over their career and not the maximum amount we are allowed to pay a new hire.
