Senior Services Technician (SST Scheduler, PCN 021808)

What you will be doing:
In this position, you will play a vital role in supporting Alaskans by ensuring timely and accurate scheduling of assessment appointments for programs that promote independence and quality care, including the Alaskans Living Independently (ALI) Waiver, Adults with Physical and Developmental Disabilities (APDD) Waiver, Personal Care Services (PCS) State Plan, and Community First Choice (CFC) State Plan. 

One of the main duties in this positon, you will coordinate approximately 100 monthly assessments and create HIPAA-compliant Zoom appointments for more than 200 assessments. You will work closely with interpretation services to secure interpreters when needed, ensuring accessibility for all clients. This role requires frequent communication and collaboration with Health Program Manager 2 Assessors, clients, legal representatives, PCS agencies, care coordinators, assisted living homes, and other partners. 

You will ensure compliance with Federal and State regulations while maintaining accurate documentation of scheduling attempts and providing timely notifications to all parties involved. Your organizational skills and attention to detail will directly impact the quality of care and services provided to Alaskans in need.

The working environment you can expect:
This position is located in Anchorage, Alaska.

 Our office is in Northeast Anchorage (1835 Bragaw St, Ste 350). It is near Costco, East High School, various restaurants, and a coffee shop. Parking is readily available at the building.

 Our team consists of 18 assessors, 3 supervisors, and 2 support staff who work closely and cooperatively under the direction of the Assessment Unit Manager. Our working environment is supportive and collaborative, where we believe in helping each other succeed.

Requirements

High school graduation or equivalent:
AND
Three years of clerical experience with one year of experience in public health, health care services, senior services, medical assistance programs, health education, nursing, medical social work, health services administration, or a closely related field.

Substitution: College education from an accredited college with a course emphasis in social services or a related field may substitute for the required experience.
