Secretary 2 - Health BPH - Office of Medical Cannabis - Kanawha Co.
Kanawha County
This position processes medical cannabis patient applications and provides real time customer service and technical assistance to patients and applicants via telephone and email. Workload is currently shared amongst 2 permanent and 2 temporary staff. However, the patient application pool has risen due to the many annual patient application renewals. This position adds staff to commiserate with past and projected program growth. This position may also require administrative duties such as assisting the senior staff with light typing, Medical Cannabis Advocacy Board preparation, scheduling and some travel scheduling. Also, serving as a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Coordinator. These specialized duties are critical and required as the Office of Medical Cannabis has complex multi faceted statewide regulatory authority.

Qualifications
Experience: Five years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience performing clerical duties at the Office Assistant 3 level, encompassing a wide range of office practices, which must have in included typing, screening and routing telephone calls and correspondence, and composing routine correspondence.
