Pinecrest is seeking to recruit a highly productive and diverse workforce and will provide equal employment opportunities to all employees and prospective employees. This position plays a vital role in contributing to personal outcomes of continuity and security for the people living at Pinecrest Supports and Services Center. In this position, a dedicated person is needed to accompany and transport people to and from the day program several times a day. Teach hands-on training of curricula in a classroom setting following the individual's 24-hour activity schedule.
Requirements
One year of training or experience in providing behavioral health or developmentally disabled services or psychiatric patient care; ORTwelve semester hours in education, psychology, counseling, social work, sociology, child guidance or nursing.
Qualifications
Job Duties:
- Document training as it occurs daily in the day program classroom. Prepare the necessary paperwork for documentation to report on people's progress to the team.
- Assist in scheduling people in classes that will meet each person's individual needs.
- Set up/decorate classroom each quarter for class theme for each session. Cleans and maintains the day program work site daily.
- Participate in development and implementation of Active Treatment and Nutritional/Behavior/Physical Support Plans.
- Train and guide individuals in eating breakfast and lunch each day and ensure that people's personal hygiene is kept at a high standard at all times, assisting as necessary, which may include lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Report any needed repairs and maintenance in the day program work area to the appropriate department in a timely manner. Report accidents/incidents and suspected cases of abuse or neglect of people to the higher authority.

Location: Pinecrest Supports and Services Center – Day Programs
Shift: 7:00 am – 3:30 pm Pass Days: Sat/Sun
Appointment Type: This position may be filled by Probation, Promotion, Demotion, Lateral Transfer, Detail to Special Duty or Job Appointment.
Preference may be given to permanent classified employees of Pinecrest Supports and Services Center.
Compensation: This position has a Special Entrance Rate (SER) of: Residential Services Specialist 2 - $13.00 hr / $1040.00 Biweekly
