Registered Nurse Supervisor B
Villa Feliciana Medical Complex (VFMC), nestled in the heart of East Feliciana Parish in Jackson, Louisiana, invites dedicated healthcare professionals to join our team. We provide compassionate, high-quality services to individuals living with chronic diseases, disabilities, terminal illnesses, and infectious conditions such as HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis. Requirements
Four years of experience as a licensed registered nurse; OR
A bachelor's degree in nursing plus three years of experience as a licensed registered nurse; OR
A master's degree in nursing or public health plus three years of experience as a licensed registered nurse; OR
A doctorate in nursing or public health plus two years of experience as a licensed registered nurse.
Qualifications
Job Duties:
Plans, manages, and directs total nursing service during assigned shift
Provides administrative supervision, support, and consultation to RN Supervisor (s) and indirect supervision, support, consultation, and counseling for lower-level nursing staff on assigned shift; serves as administrative officer making advanced clinical and administrative decisions related to routine or extraordinary facility matters.
Communicates necessary information to appropriate administrative and clinical personnel; and maintains communication with RN Director of Nursing A and administrative staff during emergencies and unusual incidents such as elopement, injuries, or death.
Assist with determining suitable organizational structure and staffing requirements for the facility during an assigned shift and reassigns employees when necessary.
Prepare and/or review work schedules for subordinate staff to provide the best coverage. Approve advanced and/or emergency leave. Advises and counsel staff regarding attendance. Assumes responsibility for accepting staff “call-ins” or request for unscheduled absences, as well as maintain appropriate coverage.
Supervise and/or provide care requiring highly complex procedures limited to delivery by an RN. This can include but is not limited to central lines, medi-ports, PICC lines, wound care, TPN, IVP medications, etc.
Assess, respond and initiate emergency procedures in critical situations. Providing leadership and guidance in emergencies for subordinate staff.
Monitor medication administration, audit medication administration records, treatment records, ADLs and restraint records to assure compliance with physician’s orders.
Perform all other related duties as required in order to maintain the smooth operation of the Nursing Service Department and Villa Feliciana Medical Complex.

Appointment Type: Probational, Promotional, or Detail to Special Duty
Work Schedule: 12 hours with rotating weekends. The shift is Nights Only 5:45 pm - 6:15 am.
Compensation: The Registered Nurse Supervisor B offers a Special Entrance Rate of $41.86 hourly, along with Longevity Pay, Work Incentive Pay, and Certification Pay (ACLS, ANA, etc.), and Shift Differential Pay. The salary can be higher depending on experience.
