Registered Nurse Supervisor B
Villa Feliciana Medical Complex (VFMC), nestled in the heart of East Feliciana Parish in Jackson, Louisiana, invites dedicated healthcare professionals to join our team. Requirements
Four years of experience as a licensed registered nurse; OR
A bachelor's degree in nursing plus three years of experience as a licensed registered nurse; OR
A master's degree in nursing or public health plus three years of experience as a licensed registered nurse; OR
A doctorate in nursing or public health plus two years of experience as a licensed registered nurse.

Job Duties:
Plans, implements, manages and directs the activities of the organization wide performance improvement plan. Leads the organization wide staff and serves as a resource in performance improvement activities. Develops and implements, with other department leaders, organization wide documents and policies and procedures.
Analyzes data and reports to appropriate committees and leaders. Ensures the design and implementation of key management documents such as the system wide Performance Improvement Plan. Counsels with any staff member regarding processes or functional issues in an effort to identify needs and address opportunities to improve care.Demonstrates communication in both written and verbal skills by successfully communicating and serving as a liaison with all levels of the organization. Communicates information about standards and relevant changes to staff throughout the system.
Evaluates the quality and appropriateness of services, on a continuing basis, in an effort to identify opportunities to improve and compiles these in an efficient and systematic way. Identifies needs for in services, education, training, and arranges staff participation as needed. Performs management duties such as planning, organizing and directing, as necessary, for the operation of the Quality Management Department. Prepares and submits requisition for equipment and supplies necessary for the operation of the quality assurance/Patient Appointments/Infection Control. Prepares and publishes annual and monthly quality assurance curriculum. Responsible for ensuring the monthly quality assurance report is accurately prepared and submitted for review in Quality Council Meeting.
Serves on committees as a Quality Management representative. These include, but are not limited to the Quality Council, Education & Training, Fall Committee, Medical/UR Committee and Executive Staff Committee.
Prepares and reports monthly quality of care indicators of hospital wide departments to Administration. Consults with Hospital Administrator/Employee Administration regarding standards of care and identifies areas to improve overall performance hospital wide. Reports to LDH, CDC, HHS, and NHSN as required for flu, covid, etc.
Directs and Supervisors Licensed Practical Nurse in Patient’s Appointments. Assures that resident appointments and follow ups are made in accordance with physician’s orders. Assist the LPN in coordination of efforts, expediting appointments, assisting Medical staff, and working with Transportation department, executing these efforts in Appointment Nurse’s absence.
Serves as the Physician Credentialing Coordinator. Prepares Credentialing and privileging folders for all qualifying Clinical staff. Ensures all materials required in Credentialing and Privileging. Packets are complete and properly reviewed and signed off by Medical Director and Appointing Authority.
Performs other related duties in order to maintain the smooth operation of the Quality Assurance Department and Hospital wide compliance with Health Standards surveys and standards.

Work Schedule: 12 hours with rotating weekends. Benefits of working as a Registered Nurse Supervisor B at VFMC include flexible work hours, paid holidays, paid time off.Compensation: The Registered Nurse Supervisor B offers a Special Entrance Rate of $41.86 hourly, along with Longevity Pay, Work Incentive Pay, and Certification Pay (ACLS, ANA, etc.), and Shift Differential Pay. The salary can be higher depending on experience.
