Public Health Program Manager III (Vacancy)
This general funded position provides oversight to the Parents As Teachers & Hope At Home MCH Home Visiting Programs. This position supervises 2 program managers and a nursing supervisor; provides oversight for home visitors who serve as case managers and evidence-based home visitors.
Responsibilities include: The direction of administrative and technical activities of a major public health service within Columbus Public Health; grants management; data collection and reporting; planning, implementation, and evaluation of the evidence-based model Parents As Teachers; performs related duties as required.
Preferred Qualifications: Possession of master's level degree and/or licensure in Social Work, Nursing or MPH-related fields. Experience in grant management and reporting, program management and supervision. Ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams. Knowledge of home visiting and maternal child health (MCH). Experience in community engagement and collaborations with diverse populations. Possession of interpersonal skills and ability to communicate proficiently both oral and written.
Pay Range: $42.64 to $63.94
Requirements

Oversees the promotion, establishment, and expansion of health care services or educational programming throughout the community;
Develops and implements policies, procedures, and strategic plans for health care services or educational programs;
Researches potential funding or reimbursement sources, reviews, modifies, and submits applications to funding or reimbursement agencies for programs and projects and monitors budget expenses;
Reviews and evaluates records on programs and services against quality assurance standards and grant requirements;
Reviews recommended changes to services, materials, or operations and makes changes to programs based on these recommendations;
Reviews and/or prepares reports detailing activities, facilities, and funding for health programs;
Represents the Health Department in information sharing planning and coordination efforts with other agencies, including serving on local, state, and national boards and committees;
Directs personnel administration including development of staffing plans, training programs, job descriptions, staff selection, and supervision;
Responds to and provides leadership for public health emergencies and significant events;
May direct the procurement of service providers for clients requiring services not offered by the department;
Qualifications
Possession of a bachelor’s degree and four (4) years of experience in public health conducting or managing services, programs, or educational activities, one (1) year of which involved supervisory experience. Substitution(s): Possession of a master’s degree may be substituted for one (1) year of the required nonsupervisory experience.
Some positions allocated to this classification may require State of Ohio certification or licensure due to the nature of or the funding for this program.
