Public Health Program Administrator

Requirements

As a Public Health Program Administrator, you will manage the cooperative agreement for the Sudden Unexpected Infant Death Case Registry (SUID CR) and coordinate operations for the Child Death Review (CDR) Program. You will engage with local CDR teams and partners, review death records and reports, administer contractual agreements, and manage grant applications and program budgets. You will also maintain a working knowledge of SUID, interpret legislation and regulations, and recommend initiatives to address critical issues related to child death and SUID. This role requires the ability to carefully interpret and analyze information as well as a genuine desire to advocate for resources, services, and policies that will help vulnerable populations achieve health equity. In addition, you will analyze information regarding child death rates, prepare program operations reports, and participate in conferences, meetings, independent readings, and research.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg, PA. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a Public Health Program Associate 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • A bachelor's degree and two years of professional experience in the development, analysis, or monitoring of programs, grants, or contracts in health, human services, social or behavioral services, health care services, or health insurance; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
