Project/Program Manager IV (Child Care Health Program Manager/Supervisor)

• Lead and supervise the multidisciplinary Child Care Health Program, including hiring, recommending effective discipline or termination, and developing training expectations.
• Provide project management and leadership in the design, development, and implementation of Public Health's Child Care Health Consultation program, including systems development and continuous improvement. Develop and implement short and long-term objectives; ensure deliverables and services meet deadlines.
• Provide effective and compassionate support and guidance to staff, including case consultation, reflective supervision, and professional development.

• Participate in Public Health Child Care Health Consultation program planning to ensure alignment between its current work and Best Starts for Kids (BSK)based efforts.
• Serve as lead for developing strong partnerships with state and local partners to help facilitate alignment of childcare health consultation programs with other large initiatives.
• Plan, build agendas, and effectively facilitate meetings within the program, departments, community partners, providers, governmental professionals, advocacy groups, and others to support alignment and solicit input and feedback
• Provide leadership by providing staff coaching and support towards quality improvement and innovative change strategies to care health consultation.
• Coordinate closely with other existing and emerging King County initiatives related to early learning to ensure that outreach, implementation, and evaluation activities are well-coordinated.
• Create an environment that fosters open communication, teamwork, commitment to quality service, fostering a culture of learning, and continuous improvement.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Management experience, directly supervising a multidisciplinary team.
• Experience managing budgets
• Demonstrated experience developing program priorities and meeting expected deliverables.
• Deep knowledge of equity and social justice principles and practices, and understanding of the effects of place-, race-, and policy and systems-based inequities on marginalized communities and populations.
• Knowledge of child development and the needs of early learning sectors in King County and Washington State.
• Demonstrated experience working across sectors to increase opportunities and improve results.
• Skilled in building effective relationships, including moving others to take action.
• Ability to work with a variety of individuals from diverse backgrounds and build consensus among a diverse group of individuals with varying opinions.
• Able to work with a wide range of partners to develop culturally and linguistically appropriate versions of messages and materials.
• Must possess skills in negotiation, facilitation, problem solving, conflict resolution; be able to obtain stakeholder buy in especially during periods of change; and be able to serve others based on universal interests.
• Must be approachable and relatable, an effective listener, able to gain trust easily, and be able to maintain discretion when sensitive subjects are raised.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presenting a broad amount of information to a wide variety of audiences.
• Skilled in work plan development.
• Able to travel throughout King County and the region in a timely manner including to locations that may not be served by public transportation.
• Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships, balance results with care for people, and encourage teamwork.

• Experience leading the team in creating and working according toward a shared vision, then aligning future work with that vision.
• Ability to be consistent in a dynamic environment by providing stability, taking ownership, removing obstacles, and offering clear communication.

• Experience providing direct clinical service or supervising a clinical team.
• Proficiency with motivational interviewing, reflective practice, or clinical supervision.
• 2-5 years of management experience
