Interested in joining our team and helping to serve Acadiana with quality compassionate care?  We are looking for a Professional Counselor with experience working with individuals who have behavioral health disorders and who can maintain, assist, and guide subordinate staff providing professional level behavioral health services including, crisis intervention, treatment planning, individual, family, and group therapy to a highly complex caseload.

Requirements

Possession of a current Louisiana license to practice as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) plus three years of licensed counseling experience.

Job Duties:

In this role as a Professional Counselor 5, you will:

  • Provide recovery and resiliency focused treatment and clinical/administrative supervision of subordinate licensed behavioral health staff within a service delivery program in the facility specifically for the delivery of services to approximately 500+ children/adolescent/adult clients. 
  • Work in accordance with the laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of all applicable licensing/governmental agencies, accreditation bodies, and within the guidelines set by the Acadiana Area Human Services District.
  • Perform your duties with broad review from the Tyler BHC Clinic Manager
  • Provide direct supervision over Professional Counselor and Social Worker staff. 

Position –Specific Details:

Appointment Type: Probational or Promotional

Work Schedule:   Monday – Friday; 40 hours/week

Location: This position is located in the Acadiana Area Human Services District – Tyler Behavioral Health Clinic in Lafayette, LA


This AAHSD SITE is NHSC (National Health Service Corps) APPROVED.  QUALIFYING  PROFESSIONAL COUNSELORS MAY BE ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE LOAN REPAYMENT PROGRAM.
