We’re looking for a Professional Counselor 4 to service full range of clinical services within the Substance Use Disorder (SUD) program.

Requirements

Possession of a current Louisiana license to practice as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) plus two years of licensed counseling experience.

  • Participates in the decision-making process of the treatment team, including formulating therapeutic activities. 
  • Serves as a group leader/facilitator in counseling groups made up of persons with substance use disorders.
  • May conduct peer reviews to refine the quality and level of outpatient substance use services provided.  
  • Manages caseloads of clients diagnosed with substance abuse issues.

Appointment Type: Probation Appointment. This position may be filled as a probation appointment.
Location: This vacancy is located at the Central Louisiana Human Services District. This announcement serves to fill vacancies in our Caring Choices Clinic in Alexandria.
Compensation: Note regarding the advertised pay range: The advertised maximum amount listed is the maximum salary a person can make while in this title/level over their career and not the maximum amount we are allowed to pay a new hire.
