Physical Therapist

Full-Time Salary Range: $50,982.94 - $81,955.29
Part-Time Hourly Range: $28.00 - $30.00


The Babies Can't Wait Program is seeking a highly qualified candidate to fill the full-time or part-time position of Physical Therapist. Location is negotiable within the district.

Requirements

Under general supervision, the Physical Therapist evaluates and assesses infants and toddlers in the Babies Can’t Wait program across multiple counties within the Southeast Health District. This involves implementing physical therapy services to maximize the child’s independent functioning, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and coaching staff and family members on supportive strategies within home and community settings. The therapist adapts materials and environments to enhance the child’s participation in daily activities, maintains progress documentation in accordance with Medicaid guidelines, and participates in research while providing care coordination for families.

Qualifications

Doctorate or professional degree in physical therapy AND current or eligible for Georgia licensure in area of assignment.


 
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in early intervention programs with children aged 0-3 and working with children with disabilities. Expertise in multidisciplinary collaboration, proficiency with clinical assessment tools, a family-centered approach, and strong communication and documentation skills are essential. Bilingual proficiency, particularly in Spanish, is a plus for serving diverse populations.

To assist employees in achieving their wellness goals, the use of designated wellness breaks during the workday is authorized. Employees may utilize up to 30 minutes per workday for wellness activities, which can be taken as two 15-minute breaks or one 30-minute break.

Employment Information

Current State employees are subject to State Personnel Board rules regarding salary.

Southeast Health District accepts educational credential recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and/or the US Department of Education (DOE) will be considered. SEHD will contact educational institutions to verify degree, diploma, licensure, etc.

The candidate selected for this position may be subject to pre-employment drug screening and a criminal background check.

As an employee of SEHD, in the event of an identified emergency you may be required, as a term and condition of employment, to assist in meeting the emergency responsibilities of the department.
