As an District Two Nurse Planner within the District Two Nursing. At Georgia Department of Public Healthyou will join a dedicated group of public health professionals that help support the overall mission and vision of protecting lives of Georgian residents in a variety of ways. District 2 Public Health serves 13 counties in northeast Georgia, including Banks, Dawson, Forsyth, Franklin, Habersham, Hall, Hart, Lumpkin, Rabun, Stephens, Towns, Union, and White counties. One of the fastest growing regions in the state, District 2 includes rural and urban communities with diverse public health challenges.

Requirements

Under supervision, conducts research, assists in the planning, development, modification and implementation of agency and/or division policy and strategic plans.
Additional Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and teach CPR and Stop the Bleed trainings for the District 
  • Serve as the liaison between District office and PRN staff
  • Coordinate and participate in Quality Assurance audits 
  • Coordinate leadership meetings and record minutes
  • Maintain a record of nurses' training requirements
  • Support district nursing leadership in an administrative role 

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED AND completion of 90 quarter hours (60 semester hours) at an accredited college or university.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paces environment
  • Exceptional computer skills in Microsoft Office
  • Posses effective communication skills both written and verbal
  • Previous Public Health experience a plus
