GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

**This position is eligible for a $2,000 hiring bonus**  See notes for eligibility and conditions

As a Public Health Nurse in Converse County, you’ll be at the forefront of promoting health and preventing disease within your community. Public Health Nursing is a specialized field that goes beyond traditional patient care—it’s about fostering wellness and resilience across populations. In this role, you’ll work closely with individuals, families, and groups to identify health needs, provide essential healthcare services, and connect people with valuable health resources.

Our Public Health Nurses deliver a wide range of services tailored to community health, from administering vaccines and offering disease screenings to educating the public on health risks and healthy behaviors. You’ll play an integral role in shaping health policies, coordinating health initiatives, and responding to public health emergencies, ensuring that every member of the community has the support they need to thrive.

You’ll enjoy a family-friendly schedule, extensive professional support, and the incredible natural surroundings of Douglas and the surrounding areas. Plus these amazing benefits.

  • Comprehensive Health Coverage: Access to excellent health, dental, and vision insurance options.
  • Generous Paid Time Off: Enjoy paid vacation, sick leave, and holidays, supporting a healthy work-life balance.
  • Secure Retirement Plan: A robust retirement plan designed to provide financial stability for your future.
  • Additional Perks: Life insurance, wellness programs, and opportunities for professional development.

Why This Role is Unique:

  • Population Health Focus: Unlike clinical settings focused on individual care, public health nursing centers on populations. You’ll address health trends and needs within the community, providing proactive care that builds long-term wellness.
  • Community Impact: As a Public Health Nurse, your work has a lasting, wide-reaching impact. From prenatal care to senior support, you’ll be addressing a variety of needs and making healthcare accessible for everyone in the community.
  • Diverse Clinical Experience: This role incorporates aspects of general nursing, infectious disease control, maternal-child health, and health education, giving you a well-rounded and varied daily practice.

If you’re looking to expand your nursing career with a meaningful, community-centered focus, public health nursing in Wyoming could be the perfect fit for you.
