Mgr 3, Information Technology

Job Description: 

Directs the South Central Health District business objectives to establish the direction and manage the efforts of activities in IT fields such as electronic data processing, information systems technology, and electronic security, converting those objectives into actions and programs.  Oversees the development and implementation of IT projects and initiatives.  Ensures business applications and processes are in place and promotes statewide leveraging of all assets and processes.   Manages data-to-day operations and delegates tasks to team members. This manager has a broad scope or a high level of responsibility within the agency or organization.   This position works to promote and protect the health and safety of the residents of South Central Health District’s ten (10) counties.  

Requirements

Essential Functions:

  • Continually evaluates customer’s security needs for IT applications and evaluates the current options available to meet those needs
  • Defines and prioritizes IT project requirements
  • Develops time and cost estimates, project plans and budget

Responsible for supporting the following:

  • Electronic Health Records (EHR)
  • Multiple Database Platforms
  • Microsoft Windows environment
  • Meraki Interfaces 
  • Various Switches, Routers, Firewalls, Cisco Unified Communications, Physical Access Manager, Video Surveillance Manager
  • VOIP
  • Some use of VPN connections
  • Statewide Teleconference System and Equipment
  • Offsite Data Hosting – State Supplied
  • Serves as the South Central Health District’s point of contact with various state agencies and personnel projects
  • Other duties as assigned 

Qualifications

Associate degree in a related field from an accredited college or university and four (4) years in a managerial or supervisory role; or six (6) years in a managerial or supervisory role; or one (1) year of experience at the lower level Mgr. 2, Information Technology (ITM021) or position equivalent.  

Preferred Qualifications:  Bachelors degree is preferred.
