MEDICAL CERTIFICATION SPECIALIST 1 OR 2 - WAIVERS DEPT.

We’re seeking a Medical Certification Specialist 1 or 2 to serve as a nurse in our DD Waivers Department to assist with assessment of needs of patients.


This position may be filled by Probation, Promotion, Demotion, or Lateral Transfer.

Requirements

A current Louisiana license in a health services field, health regulation field, or social services field plus two years of experience in hospital or nursing home administration, health services, health regulation, or social services; OR

A bachelor's degree plus two years of experience in hospital or nursing home administration, health services, health regulation, or social services; OR

A master's degree in a health services field, health regulation field, or a social services field plus one year of experience in hospital or nursing home administration, health services, health regulation, or social services.

Job Duties:
  • Take care of patients paperwork for waivers department.
  • Go out into the community and visit nursing homes and patients home.
  • Will have a caseload to work on a daily basis.
  • Work as a team to ensure all caseloads are up to date.

Appointment Type: This position may be filled by a probationary appointment.

Location: This vacancy is located at the Central Louisiana Human Services District's Waivers department.

Career Progression: This position may be filled as a Medical Certification Specialist 1 or 2 depending on the qualifications of the selected applicant.
