Join the OAAS Training Team and make a statewide impact supporting Long Term Care programs that serve older adults and individuals with adult-onset disabilities. This role offers the opportunity to travel across Louisiana, deliver engaging trainings, and present to both classroom and large-audience settings. Ideal candidates are strong communicators who enjoy teaching, problem-solving, and building rapport with others. You’ll play a key role in training staff on standardized assessment and person-centered care planning tools used across multiple OAAS programs, with certification provided as part of the role. If you’re organized, analytical, and passionate about adult learning and quality care, this position offers meaningful work with broad program influence.

Requirements

A current Louisiana license in a health services field, health regulation field, or social services field plus two years of experience in hospital or nursing home administration, health services, health regulation, or social services; OR

A bachelor's degree plus two years of experience in hospital or nursing home administration, health services, health regulation, or social services; OR

A master's degree in a health services field, health regulation field, or a social services field plus one year of experience in hospital or nursing home administration, health services, health regulation, or social services.

Job Duties:
  • Conducting regularly scheduled trainings on the standardized assessments used by OAAS and on person-centered care planning;
  • Certifying program competency for support coordinators and support coordinator supervisors; 
  • Maintaining certification/training records; 
  • Assisting with revisions and/or development of training materials; 
  • Providing technical assistance to other OAAS staff, providers and support coordination agencies;
  • Developing and delivering other trainings and/or presentations to providers statewide. 
  • Assisting with monitoring of Medicaid enrolled support coordination agencies (on-site and data review), 
  • Conducting assessments at home visits
