Interviewer (Part-Time WAE)

The Office of Behavioral Health (OBH) is looking for qualified candidates to join the C’est Bon Team, a program designed to assess the quality of care within the Local Governing Entities (LGEs). The program includes a program monitor/supervisor and four interviewers. The interviewers are behavioral health peers and family members who assess the quality of care within the publicly supported behavioral health system by conducting person-to-person interviews with individuals receiving services. The data collected by the interviewers will be used to help meet the needs of both professionals and individuals by maintaining and promoting continuous quality improvement in the delivery of services to individuals. 


The interviewer holds a WAE (When Actually Employed) position that requires flexible work hours and responsibilities, as well as extensive statewide travel. Interviewers work approximately 24 to 28 hours per week, not to exceed 1245 hours annually.  


Note: NOTE: This is a part-time WAE position that requires extensive travel to mental health clinics statewide.


OBH will provide a rental car, hotel room and meal reimbursement per Louisiana Travel Guide (PPM49) for work conducted outside of your official domicile.

Requirements

  • Excellent writing, reading and oral communication skills
  • Excellent listening skills
  • Computer skills
  • Basic math skills
  • Sensitive to ethnic, cultural and diagnostic differences
  • Personal lived experience with the behavioral health system or family member of individual with lived experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver license with clean driving record
  • Criminal background check
  • Willingness to participate in statewide travel on a regular basis

Qualifications

Job Duties:

Responsibilities (specific duties of the position will include but are not limited to)

  • Conduct surveys with individuals receiving behavioral health services (50%)
  • Compile data obtained from surveys of individuals (20%)
  • Enter survey information into the data collection system (20%)
  • Traveling to mental health clinics statewide (10%)

Appointment Type: This position will be filled as an Unclassified Part-time WAE appointment;**Please note** When Actually Employed (WAE) appointments are temporary and may last up to a year. Employees can only work a total of 1,245 hours within a 12-month period.
