HVAC/Refrigeration Mechanic Foreman

Division: Within the Maintenance Department at ELMHS Located in Jackson, LA
The Mission of ELMHS is to provide mental health evaluation, treatment, habilitation and consultation for adults. Programs include inpatient interventions, jail based evaluations, supervised group home and residential programs, forensic evaluation, care, custody, and aftercare; intermediate and long term psychiatric are in coordination with the total system of care in Louisiana 

ELMHS is looking for a skilled and motivated individual to join the team in the Maintenance Department.

Requirements

Four years of experience or training in the installation and/or maintenance of heating, ventilating, or air conditioning systems.

Job Duties:

In this role, you will:

  • Provide supervisory, technical, and complex diagnostic analysis for all HVAC, refrigeration, electronic, electrical and pneumatic control systems. 

  • Supervise, direct and assist subordinate HVAC technicians in diagnostic analysis for all HVAC and refrigeration equipment for repair and preventive maintenance programs. 

  • Provide technical, pertinent information to maintenance managers and administration.

  • Direct and assist with the installing, repair, and diagnostic for all major repair and HVAC installation projects. 

  • Develop, implement and supervise the preventive maintenance program for all refrigeration / mechanical control systems. 

  • Estimate time and materials related to repair or installation of new and old equipment. Responsible for requisitions and materials to be purchased by the HVAC and Appliance departments.  

  • Be on-Call for emergencies for the two (2) ELMHS campuses and directs all emergency responses for inclement weather, electrical outages, gas, sewer, and HVAC problems.  Advises Facility Maintenance Manager C on all maintenance and repair problems.
