HUMAN RESOURCES SUPERVISOR


We’re looking for a Human Resources Supervisor to join our dedicated team at Central Louisiana Supports and Services Center (CLSSC)—a facility committed to providing active treatment and healthcare services to individuals with intellectual, developmental, and orthopedic disabilities in the least restrictive environment.

Requirements

Six years of human resources experience; OR

Six years of full-time experience in any field plus three years of human resources experience; OR

A bachelor’s degree plus three years of human resources experience; OR

An advanced degree in human resources, business administration, public administration, industrial and organizational psychology, organizational behavior, or a Juris Doctorate plus two years of human resources experience.

EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Designation as a Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), Professional in Human Resources (PHR), or a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) will substitute for a maximum of one year of the required experience.

  • Assists the HR Director B in managing multiple comprehensive Human Resources Programs for CLSSC
  • Responsible for the activities of staff regarding LaGov HCM reports and payroll policies and procedures
  • Act as LaGov Human Capital Management (HCM) liaison
  • Run and review HCM reports to identify errors
  • Receives pay, benefit related complaints from employees and management, and negotiates resolution
  • Reviews FMLA request to determine eligibility and qualifying event
  •  Interpret policy, procedures and laws pertaining to Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and determine eligibility
  •  Responsible for the activities of staff regarding the HR Hire Unit
  • Assist and direct other HR staff in process hires, promotions/demotions

Position-Specific Details:

Location: Central Louisiana Supports and Services Center
Compensation: This position has a Special Entrance Rate (SER) of $2,383.20 biweekly
Appointment Type:  Probation/Permanent. Preference may be given to permanent classified employees of the Central Louisiana Supports and Services Center.
