The Northeast Health District’s HIV Prevention program is seeking a qualified person to provide community HIV prevention outreach, counseling, testing, and linkage into care. The selected candidate will be responsible for the implementation of the Anti-Retroviral Treatment and Access to Services (ARTAS) intervention. The position is responsible for implementing linkage services across the district, performing data collection and entry activities, and working collaboratively to ensure continuity of care for HIV positive individuals and those interested in receiving PrEP services.


As an HIV Prevention Linkage Coordinator within the Northeast Health District at the Georgia Department of Public Health, you will join a dedicated group of public health professionals that help support the overall mission and vision of protecting lives of Georgian residents in a variety of ways.

Requirements

  • Link HIV-positive individuals to care, including perinatal care coordination.
  • Provide community outreach, point-of-care testing and counseling services as needed.
  • Provide referrals and linkage into PrEP program and partner services.
  • Assist with research, development and implementation of protocols to identify HIV positive individuals across the district who are not in care and link them into care.
  • Actively collaborate with other public health programs, participate in workgroups and committees. 
  • Implement program quality assurance and quality improvement projects and goals.
  • Prepare and submit monthly service reports and quarterly narratives.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in education, social, behavioral, or biological sciences or a directly related field from an accredited college or university.
