This is a full time, full benefit eligible position, located in Lowndes County, Georgia.

Requirements

We are seeking a dynamic and engaging Health Educator who is passionate about wellness and skilled in communication, storytelling, and community engagement. The ideal candidate brings the ability to connect with diverse audiences and effectively advance our health initiatives, fostering meaningful impact throughout the community.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in communications, Public Health, or a related field. Strong interpersonal skills and an outgoing personality. 
Comfortable presenting to groups of various sizes.
Strong experience managing social media platforms, including content creation and audience engagement.
Skilled in creating engaging short-form video content for digital platforms start to finish, including planning, filming, and editing. (We aren’t looking for Hollywood quality. Smartphone storytelling is perfect.)
Willingness to work weekends and travel as needed to reach our community where they are.

Preferred
Bilingual: Fluency in Spanish is considered a significant asset Current State employees are subject to State Personnel Board rules regarding salary.

DPH accepts educational credential recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and/or the US Department of Education (DOE) will be considered. DPH will contact educational institutions to verify degree, diploma, licensure, etc.
