Requirements

Six years of experience in administrative services; OR

Six years of full-time experience in any field plus three years of experience in administrative services; OR

A bachelor’s degree plus three years of experience in administrative services; OR

An advanced degree or a Juris Doctorate plus two years of experience in administrative services.

EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Job Duties:

·  Serve as liaison for the Surgeon General and Chief of Staff, coordinating activities with state, federal, and local agencies.

·  Follow up on assignments and projects on behalf of the Surgeon General and Chief of Staff to ensure adherence to deadlines and goals, providing regular updates on status.

·  Prepare confidential reports, inform staff of executive decisions, and maintain updates on policy matters.

·  Independently initiate and complete correspondence and respond to written and verbal requests from state, local, and federal officials, stakeholders, and other interested parties.

·  Consult with program offices and public/private stakeholders to identify business needs and translate findings into reports for decision-making.

·  Research, compile, analyze, and organize information on matters directly related to the Office of the Surgeon General.

·  Perform a variety of administrative tasks, including drafting, reviewing, and tracking correspondence, answering sensitive calls, and acting on guidance from the Surgeon General.

·  Manage scheduling, meetings, travel arrangements, P-Card purchases, property, timekeeping, and Risk Management reporting, and represent the section at meetings and other functions as assigned.
