Epidemiology Response Project Coordinator - HP II - Communicable Disease Branch

• Liaise with CDB Program Managers and branch leadership to define project requirements, scopes and objectives. 
• Track project plan activities 
• Coordinate internal and external stakeholders, ensuring that projects remain within scope and schedule. 
• Monitor project progress and recommend scope or timeline changes as necessary in consultation with program managers or branch leadership.
• Ensure all aspects of the project are organized and conform with program requirements. 
• Escalate issues and report project risks and outcomes to program managers or branch leadership as appropriate. 
• Serve as a point of communication between project teams. 
• Draft and distribute project correspondences including project plans, memos, meeting minutes, and emails 
• Maintain and foster relationships with internal and external partners to ensure effective project collaboration. 
• Coordinate the implementation of a training plan for branch staff that increases response readiness. 
• Regularly review existing CDB training products and work with program subject matter experts to update as needed.
• Develop, maintain, and distribute policies and procedures for Colorado HAN distribution that includes coverage processes for short notice and after hours distribution.
• Develop and maintain a program description and logic model for the Colorado HAN system. 
• Support development and implementation of an evaluation plan for the Colorado HAN system to assess outcomes and processes. 
• Use evaluation metrics to improve system fidelity, distribution metrics, and user experience. 
• Implement and track process improvement plans. 
• Distribute HANs to intended recipients.
• Participate in CSTE, CDC, and other HAN working groups.
• Support user training development and delivery
• When needed, this position supports branch or division disease investigation responses. 
• Response roles may include conducting case or control interviews, data entry, or response documentation 
• Assist with response evaluation including survey, hotwash facilitation, and report writing
• Manage the CDB Zoom account with webinar functionality. 
• Serves as the point person to coordinate meeting scheduling using the Zoom webinar account. 
• Supports meeting registration. 
• Facilitate meetings, calls, and trainings at the request of CDB programs. 
• Manage the agenda and facilitation of Communicable Disease Epi Update and Statewide Disease Response Coordination calls with support from the Field Epidemiology team 
• Supports meeting and training evaluation and process improvement. 
• Manage recordings of meetings to ensure they are stored appropriately and deleted on schedule 
• Schedule topics for recurring meetings, allocating time to speakers
• On assigned days, this position participates in the routine epi on call schedule by answering email questions and telephone calls from healthcare providers, LPHAs, and the public on a variety of communicable disease issues of public health concern. 
• Provides consultation on diagnosis, recommending laboratory testing, tream, prophylaxis, disease control and prevention strategies, and triaging complex calls to the attention of subject matter expert.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Five (5) years of relevant experience in public health, health education, health communication, emergency management, or working in a planning capacity with public health communities and stakeholders with programs and services regulated by the state or in an occupation related to the work assigned to this position 

OR

A combination of related education in public health, health administration, health communication, ,epidemiology, nursing, biology, emergency management and/or relevant experience in public health, health education, health communication, emergency management, or working in a planning capacity with public health communities and stakeholders with programs and services regulated by the state or in an occupation related to the work assigned to this position equal to five (5) years

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

In addition to the minimum requirements, the successful candidate in this position will have the following highly desirable experience and competencies:  

• Experience developing and implementing programmatic training
• Experience providing technical assistance for stakeholders
• experience working with data providers, requesting documents or reports, and the communication skills to negotiate or modify a sharing agreement
• Experience with HAN systems
