New Mexico Behavioral Health Institute is providing oversight of a new adult detox and residential substance abuse treatment program at the Epi Duran Building. Our multi-disciplinary team will consist of medical professionals Including Doctors, PMHNP, RNs, and Patient Care Assistants. This program will have a max capacity of 28 beds, and we will provide MAT/MOUD when indicated. Our team will meet local and state and federal requirements.

Why does the job exist?

 
This job exists to provide support to patients in an inpatient and outpatient setting who are working toward recovery from substance use disorders and co-occurring disorders.

How does it get done?

 
This position is responsible for conducting assessments, creating treatment plans, providing in-person and telehealth educational groups, and case management within a multi-disciplinary hospital that treats individuals with substance use disorders in an inpatient and outpatient setting.
This position will provide optimum counseling, intervention and treatment services to high-risk drug and alcohol addicted patients at Turquoise Lodge. Incumbent may also provide serve to patients with dual diagnosis.

Who are the customers?

 
This team will serve all individuals that struggle with mental health and/or substance abuse, who are seeking treatment in an inpatient setting, including medically monitored withdrawal management and social rehabilitation.

Ideal Candidate

 
The ideal candidate would have:
-Have excellent time management skills;
-Be a self-starter;
-Be able to handle disruptive patients and de-escalate situations;
-Be a team player

Minimum Qualification

 
Licensure in New Mexico as an LMSW, LISW, LMHC, LMFT, LPCC, LCSW, or LPAT and one (1) year of experience as it pertains to the essential duties and responsibilities of the classification. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field above licensure requirements and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling one (1) year may substitute for the required experience.

Employment is conditional pending the results of criminal records background checks. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license. Successful completion of the Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act (HIPAA).

Working Conditions

 
Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (Von and extensive personal computer and phone usage.
