LOCATION: Richardson Health Center

DIVISION/DEPARTMENT: Environmental Health

SALARY INFORMATION:$20.00 Hourly /  Job Code T1901

Requirements

Under supervision, learns to perform inspections for the following specialized environmental health programs (swimming pools and spas, environmental health education, mosquito and rodent control, and public health complaint investigations) for compliance with policy, procedures, state and Federal regulations and standards to ensure environmental health, safety, and/or compliance. Additional training may be provided for other environmental health programs: hotel and motel, body art, lead investigations, food safety, septic systems, etc.


Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED. Valid driver’s license and proof of car insurance.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: In addition to the minimum qualifications, preference will be given to applicants who are students with majors in Public Health, Environmental Health, or Science (Biology, Chemistry, e.g.) degree programs. Graduate students, recent graduates or upperclassmen are preferred.
