What You Will Be Doing:
In this role, you will serve as a team lead for the Division’s Virtual Call Center (VCC) team under the Field Services group.

In this position, you will

  • Serve your team as a working lead, working closely with the team and leadership to develop staff.  
  • Assist in the training, evaluation, and guidance of fellow employees. 
  • Balancing a variety of assignments, including casework, interpreting policy, and reviewing staff’s case determinations.

The Working Environment You Can Expect:
This position joins a statewide eligibility team that supports Alaskans throughout our great state. The team’s focus is to assist the public with the division’s virtual call center (VCC).

Requirements

One year of experience as an Eligibility Technician 2 with the State of Alaska or the equivalent with another employer;
 
OR
 
One year performing similar work that developed knowledge and skills in applying program requirements to diverse situations, conducting interviews, and gathering information in order to obtain and verify information while working with client customers in stressful situations.
 
Substitution:

Post-secondary education in such fields as sociology, social work, psychology, counseling, human services, vocational rehabilitation, developmental disabilities, behavioral sciences, business, public administration, or accounting may substitute for the required experience (undergraduate credits: 2.67 semester/4 quarter hours = 1 month).

SUPPLEMENTAL QUESTIONS

For your application to be evaluated, you must answer the Supplemental Questions. 

The State of Alaska uses four proficiency levels to measure and describe an applicant’s level of competence in applying certain behaviors, knowledge, skills, and abilities to accomplish a specific task. The four proficiency levels are Mastery, Fluency, Literacy, and Discovery. You must rate your proficiency level for each competency listed in the supplemental questions. 


CLASSIFICATION
This position is currently under review as part of the Public Assistance Field Services Study; therefore, the title and/or pay range currently assigned may be subject to change upon implementation of this class study
 
EDUCATION

To verify education is being used to meet and/or support the required minimum qualifications/competencies, you must fill in the Education section of the application  If you have not obtained a degree, please indicate the number of units completed  Copies of transcripts are required to verify educational credentials used to meet or support the minimum qualifications/competencies for a position and are required with each application  (Unofficial is okay; please ensure the institution/URL name is listed on the transcripts)  Transcripts can be attached at the time of application or provided at the time of interview; if not, transcripts will be required before employment.
